Skills Builder is an award-winning not-for-profit organisation which aims to “focus on building essential skills to enable lifelong success so that one day, all students are equipped with the skills, experiences and aspirations to succeed.”

There are eight key universal skills that underpin success at every stage of life: they unlock learning while at school, ensure young people are fully prepared for the independence of university and college, and empower people to land their dream job in the future.

A mastery approach underpins the framework – that means, no steps should be skipped and only when a step is mastered should learners move onto the next one. Children will be given regular opportunities to practise and apply each skill across our curriculum.
