Intent
At Knutton St Mary’s CE Academy, we aim to enable children to become not only able, confident readers, but to develop a love of reading which will stay with them for life.
International research has shown that reading for pleasure is important for both academic progress and personal growth. Children who read for pleasure, use their imagination to explore new ideas, visit new places and meet new characters. Subsequently, this helps them to develop empathy, understanding and tolerance
VISIT
Knutton Library
Remember your child is a member of Knutton Library. This means that if any of the books interest them then you can get the from the library to borrow. If they don’t have the one you are after, they will order it in for you.
Knutton Library is part of the Staffordshire Library service which means the whole family can become members for free and borrow books. Just call in and ask.

- Saturday: 10:00am – 2:00pm
